


intro to wheel throwing: September-October session
In this course students will learn the basics of throwing clay on the potters wheel. Students will learn to throw, trim, and glaze their pots. By the end of the course students will have a solid understanding of the basics of clay!
Classes are 3 hours long 1x per week, and include 10 hours of open studio time that are open and available to students any time when another class or event is not in session (these times are listed on the studio calendar). The studio is open 24 hours, so there is tons of flexibility on when you can come! Also included is clay, and 5 free firings. (additional firings can be purchased at the studio for 3 cents per cubic inch). The first four weeks of the class are focused on throwing, while weeks 5-6 are focused on trimming and glazing.
The class will begin the week of September 7th and run through the week of October 12th
Classes are as follows:
Sundays 10am-1pm Intro to Wheel Throwing
Wednesdays 9am-noon Intro to Wheel Throwing
Wednesdays 6-9pm Intro to Wheel Throwing
Thursdays 9 am-noon Intro to Wheel Throwing
**Make up classes: we aren’t able to offer make-up classes if you miss a class! We will try our best to switch you into another class that week if someone else is absent, but this isn’t a guarantee as it depends on other students availability. If you know ahead of time that you will be missing a class, please email us so we can have it down in our schedule to coordinate absences and switching classes
*** Cancellations: Please also note that refunds requested 7 days or more before the class session will be refunded in full, minus processing fees. We can’t offer a refund for a class that is requested less than 7 days before the first class.
