sold out

In this course students will learn the basics of throwing clay on the potter’s wheel. Students will learn to throw, trim, and glaze their pots. By the end of the course students will have a solid understanding of the basics of clay!

Classes are 3 hours long 1x per week, and include unlimited open studio hours that are open and available to students any time when another class or event is not in session (these times are listed on the studio calendar). The studio is open 24 hours, so there is a lot of flexibility in when you can come! Also included is clay, and 8 bisque and 8 glaze firings. (additional firings can be purchased at the studio for 3 cents per cubic inch, $2-3 for a mug per firing). The first 4 weeks of the class are focused on throwing and trimming, while weeks 5-6 are a combination of trimming and glazing/surface decoration. For more info on what the class entails, go here

The class will begin the week of September 6th and run through the week of October 11th

Classes are as follows:

  • Sundays 10-1pm

  • Mondays 9-noon

  • Wednesdays 9-noon

  • Wednesdays 6-9pm

  • Thursdays 6-9pm

We recommend only signing up for the class if you’re able to make all 6 classes! The first class is the most important one to make. If you miss a class we will try and swap you into a different class that week, but sub spots aren’t guaranteed.

*** Cancellations: Please also note that refunds requested before August 24th will be refunded in full, minus processing fees. After August 24th we aren’t able to offer refunds for class cancellations.
